Obituary: Harold F. Chamberlain, 91, of Branford

Harold F. Chamberlain, 91, of Branford, beloved husband of Dorothy Christman Chamberlain, passed away on August 13, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving father of Jocelyn (Jay) Horwitt, Kevin (Lori) Chamberlain, Peter (Margaret) Chamberlain and the late Susan Koffer. Grandfather of Alexi Horwitt, Brittany (David) Barsky, Melanie (Craig) Tracz, Michelle Chamberlain, Chelsea (Spencer) Zukunft, Courtney (Frank) Somers and Stephen Chamberlain. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. He was born in Northville, NY on October 16, 1930 son of the late Oscar and Agnes Chartier Chamberlain. He was the brother of the late Richard Chamberlain and Paul Chamberlain. Harold graduated from the Northville Central School as senior class president and also attended the University of New Haven.

Prior to his retirement, Harold was Manager of the Poultry Machinery Division at Jarvis Products Corporation, Middletown where he was employed for 54 years. He was an inventor of poultry processing machinery. Harold enjoyed spending time with his large and growing family. He also enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States and the world.

Family and friends are invited to a parlor service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven THURSDAY evening at 7pm. Family and friends may call THURSDAY from 5pm until 8pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association www.heart.org.
