Obituary: Helen (Kaliszewski) Mullen of Branford
Mom- and she was a mom to so many- will be remembered for her daily walks with Betty Gallacher to the center of town, her smiling face.

Helen (Kaliszewski) Mullen of Branford died peacefully on July 3, surrounded by her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of Peter Francis Mullen, retired Fire Chief of Branford. He was the love of her life! Helen was born in New Haven on September 1, 1928, daughter of the late Andrew and Stella Rachupka Kaliszewski. Helen and Peter married in 1951 and moved to Toole Drive and raised three children.
Mom- and she was a mom to so many- will be remembered for her daily walks with Betty Gallacher to the center of town, her smiling face behind the counter at Towne Pharmacy, and as the life of the party. She and Peter were most proud of their children, grandchildren, and extended family.

She is survived by her son Michael (Barbara) Mullen and daughter Eileen (Keith) Crane, all of Branford. She also is survived by grandchildren Conner, Christopher (mother Leah Comaites), and Cash Mullen; Cody and Michaella Crane; and Danny, Mandy, Sue, Zach, and Nick.
She was predeceased by her son Ron (Alicia) Mullen, Deputy Chief, Branford Fire Department. The family would also like to thank Darcy MacDonald, Lucyna Ptak, son-in-law Keith, Joann Limauro, her St. Mary's church family and anyone else who had a hand in keeping her home in the house she loved for her final year. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
