Obituary: James “Jim” Pinski of Branford

James “Jim” Pinski of Branford died Monday January 7, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. Jim was born June 9, 1958 in New Haven, son of the late Joseph and Eleanor Pinski. He is survived by many friends. Jim was a lifelong Branford resident and longtime member of the Branford Basketball community. He was a graduate of St. Mary's and Branford High School.

The Pin as he was known to many, held a variety of jobs within the construction industry. Jim had recently retired from a long and varied career of which he enjoyed relaying many of his colorful stories to others.

He enjoyed helping his many friends and would drop everything to help a friend in an emergency. Jim "the Pin" will be greatly missed by the Branford Community.

Friends are invited to a memorial visitation, Friday January 25, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Graveside service to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
