James “Jimmy” D. Lepre, Jr. (JDLII) of Branford, surrounded by the love of his life and his loving family, took the steps from his old journey into his new journey on August 26, 2018. He fought a very strong and courageous battle with cancer. Jimmy was born in New Haven August 6, 1954, son of the late James D. Lepre, Sr. and Rose DeMusis Lepre. Jimmy was an avid Beatles and New York Yankees fan as well as a loyal Trekkie. Whenever Jim and Mary could, they would go and see local area bands play, since music was such an important part of his life.

For many years he was the sound man for the ever-popular band “The Islanders”. In his younger years he liked to travel with his friends. Jimmy worked as a dispatcher for Morano’s Limousine in Monroe for many years. Jimmy was loved by all who knew him, and he loved everyone. Jimmy leaves behind the love of his life Mary Masker; his sister, Patricia (Jim) Gilstrap; his niece Megan (fiancé Alexander) Gilstrap; Mary’s daughter, Sarah and her children, Laila, Samir, Nora and Aya. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. His loving family would like to thank Hospice Homecare aides, nurses and Claudia from the VNA, and other agencies for their care and support through the toughest times. “Seize the time… live now, make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again.” Capt. Jean-Luc Picard.
