Obituary: James M. “Jim” Chase, 84, of Branford
An Air Force veteran, he was a Perri Sausage comptroller, and later became a lawyer and worked for the New Haven Public Defender's office.
James M. “Jim” Chase of Branford died Tuesday March 5, 2024 at the Hospital of St. Raphael Campus, YNHH. He was the beloved husband to Joyce Beauregard Chase.
Jim was born July 31, 1939 in New London, CT, a son of the late John and Rosemary Chase. He served in the U. S. Air Force. He had worked for Perri Sausage for many years as comptroller before becoming an attorney working for the Public Defender’s office in New Haven until retiring in 2016. Jim was a friend of Bill W. for more than forty years.

Besides Joyce, Jim is survived by his sons, Peter Chase of Branford and John (Kathleen) Chase of East Haven, and his grandchildren, Paisley, Hannah and Heather.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday March 13, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
