Obituary: Jane Shea Kohler, 97, formerly of Branford

Jane Shea Kohler of Manassas, VA, formerly of Branford, died Friday January 21, 2022 in Manassas. She was the wife of the late Bernard Kohler.

Jane was born in New Haven, CT on August 23, 1924, a daughter of the late William and Alice Callahan Shea. She graduated from Hillhouse High school in 1942. She worked for many years as the office manager at Bruce and Johnson’s Marina in Branford before retiring.

She is survived by her children, Beth (John) Hollingsworth of Manassas, and Ben (Marion) Kohler of Maryland, her grandchildren - Ramani McKelvey (Michelle), Emma Hollingsworth, Morgan Kohler, Christian Kohler and her great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Elli Dallain, as well as sister-in-laws Francis Daly and Dodie Cummings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Therese Church, 105 Leetes Island Road, Branford, Friday February 4th at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. There are no calling hours.
