Obituary: Janet C. Anderson of Branford

Janet C. Anderson of Branford, died Monday November 14, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late William R. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was born August 10, 1925 in New Haven, daughter of the late Wilfred and Evelyn Mallett Dion. She was a cafeteria worker for the Branford Board of Education for many years until her retirement.

Janet was a very private person, but loved her family and was always up for the many holidays and birthday parties a large family brings. She had great friends and lived a simple, happy life in Branford for over 60 years. Janet is survived by her sons, Karl (Liz) Anderson of Branford, Craig (Suzy) Anderson of Clinton and Dennis (Gale) Anderson of Clinton, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Beverly St. Jacques and Shirley Copperthite.

Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street Branford Saturday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in Tabor Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 8:30 – 9:30.
