Obituary: Jeannette T. Collins, 86, of Branford
She was a pediatric nurse for 25 years. Outside of work she enjoyed gardening, walking any beach, and collecting sea shells.

Jeannette T. Collins, of Branford, died Friday November 17, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of the late Bruce “Jim” Collins. Jeannette was born January 30, 1931 in New Haven, daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Thompson.
She was a pediatric nurse for 25 years. Outside of work she enjoyed gardening, walking any beach, collecting sea shells and watching her birds. She is survived by her children, Robert (Sandra) Collins of Oakdale, CT, Marc Collins and Elaine (Paul) Blackstone of Branford; and her brothers, William Thompson of Branford and Roger Thompson of Meriden. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Lucy Collins, her grandson-in-law, Josh Carney, her brothers, Robert and Harry Thompson and her sisters Marie Meneely and Elizabeth Belbusti.

And a very special thanks to Lana her care giver for all that she did.Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Friday November 24, from 5:00 -7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning at 10:00 in St. Therese Church, Branford. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
