Obituary: Jennie J. Sadowski, 97, of Branford

Jennie J. Sadowski, 97, a lifelong resident of Branford, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Branford Hills Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Sadowski. Jennie was born in New Haven September 30, 1920, daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Michalak Pinski.

She worked for Echlin Manufacturing in Branford for over 30 years until retiring. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband to many countries in Europe, Hawaii, and Mexico and loved gardening, playing cards at the Branford Senior Center, and polka dancing. Jennie is survived by her devoted daughter Bernice (Bob) Dellert of North Branford; her loving grandchildren, Karen (David) Benoit of Branford and Brian (Heather) Dellert of Acton, MA, her great-grandchildren, Kaci Benoit, and Lily and Shelby Dellert, her sister Stasia Sadowski, and her brother Eugene Pinski. She was predeceased by her longtime companion Henry Karbowski; her brothers, Walter, Benjamin, Edward, Joseph and Stanley Pinski and her sister Julia Stempick.
