Obituary: Jennie Sawicki, 89, of Branford

Jennie Sawicki of Branford, died Friday October 27, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of the late Henry Sawicki. Jennie was born in Columbia, CT May 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Antoni and Adele Szandurski. She worked as a seamstress for Ashley Shirt Company in Branford for many years. She also worked for McKesson-Robbins and at Cedar Crest in Branford until retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Therese Church, Branford. Jennie is survived by her nephews, Craig Stopka of Branford, Stanley Stopka, Jr. of South Dartmouth, MA and Robert Stopka of Panama City Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her sister Josephine Stopka and her niece Joan Stopka. She is also survived by five grand-nieces and nephews.
