Obituary: Joan Meglin Hardwick, 82, of Branford

Joan Meglin Hardwick of Branford, died Friday December 16, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late George Hardwick.

Joan was born November 2, 1930 in Branford, a daughter of the late Stanley and Antosie Norris Meglin. She had worked for the New Haven Register in the classified advertisement department for many years until retiring.

She is survived by her children, Joan Wezenski of Branford, and Lee (Roberta) Wezenski of Killingworth, her sister Ellen Johnson of Guilford, her grandchildren, Nicole Wezenski, Danielle (Mark) Ulman, Austin and Eddie (Candice) Wezenski, and her great-granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Ulman, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Ed Wezenski, her sisters, Ann Wezenski, Frances Dennison, Mary Klass and Nellie Mellilo, and her brothers, Joseph, Michael, John and Stanley Meglin.

Funeral services are private at the convenience of her family.
