Obituary: Joseph Lucian Franco, 69, formerly of Branford

Joseph Lucian Franco of Florida, formerly of Branford, passed away on July 3, 2023. He was the father of Jamie (Michael) Toto of Canton, MA, Brittany Franco of Branford, and Deana (Todd) Franco of Branford. He was the brother of Susan Guillet of Branford. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael DeBiase, Ava DeBiase, Bennett Toto, Josephine Toto, Cole Franco, and Ethan Franco. In addition, he is survived by his life partner and best friend Bernadette Dalandek Franco of Branford. He was predeceased by his son Joseph (Jay) Franco and his brother Ronald Franco. Joseph was born on March 20, 1954, a son of the late Joseph and Susan Faticone Franco. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office in Branford for more than 30 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Church in New Haven on July 29, 2023 at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford is in care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness @ NAMI.org.
