Juanita (Poelman) Bunnell, age 60, of Branford passed peacefully at CT Hospice on July 16, 2016, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer.

We are very grateful that she is now in the arms of her Savior.Juanita was born in Middletown, CT to the late John Poelman and Joan (Wagner) (Poelman) Frye. Juanita is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Richard Bunnnell, her three sons: Christopher, Shawn and fiancée Alexis Canales of Branford, and Justin and wife Ashley (Seibert) Bunnell and their expected daughter of Easton, PA.

She is also survived by a daughter, adopted by heart, Tameka Robinson and children Nylah and Avery Padgett, of Jamaica, N.Y., her two sisters Marie (Louis) Garofalo of Falconer, N.Y. and Sandra (Raphael) Castaldi of Westerly, R.I., brother John (Rachel) Poelman of Claremont, N.H., sister-in-law Judith (Friend) Pond of Guilford, CT, brother-in-law Michael (Sandy) Lillis of New Orleans, LA, and a fruitfulness of adored nieces and nephews.

Juanita will be remembered as a devoted wife, amazing mother, loving sister, kind aunt, cherished friend and a genuine soul.

A memorial service will be held at Branford Evangelical Free Church on July 23 at 12:30 P.M., with calling hours starting at 11:00 A.M. A reception will follow in the church hall.
