Obituary: Kimberly Jane Kopsack McCleery, 59, of Branford
She relocated to Branford in 1982 and joined the firm of Carmine Carbone, CPA, in 1984, where she was employed until her passing.

Kimberly Jane Kopsack McCleery, 59, of Branford, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, April 27, with family and friends in attendance. She had been a Stage 4 cancer patient for 17 years. Kim was born September 28, 1957 in Clinton, CT, and moved to Rutland, VT as a young girl. She attended local schools, and Berkshire Community College where she studied accounting.
She relocated to Branford in 1982 and joined the firm of Carmine Carbone, CPA, in 1984, where she was employed until her passing. Kim was a sailor who loved Long Island Sound and a cowgirl who loved Wyoming. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Kopsack (Thomas Drolet), of Punta Gorda, FL. siblings Jaclyn Ryan (Russ Francis), of Cody WY, Nancy Robitaille (Normand) of Hudson, Quebec Canada, Daniel Kopsack (Melissa) of Bristol, RI. Also, niece Emerson Kopsack of Bristol, RI.

Her husband and devoted caregiver Michael McCleery of Branford CT. Her father Richard Kopsack predeceased her four years ago. The family wishes to thank the dozens of physicians and staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital for Kim's caring and compassionate treatment, and the extraordinary technical resources that extended her life for so many years.
Kim's magnificent smile and enduring courage touched all whoever knew her.Visiting hours will be Saturday morning May 6th from 10:00 – 12:00, with a memorial service at noon at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, followed by a reception at Donovan's Reef Restaurant, Branford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Stony Creek Rescue Fire Co. 5, PO Box 3312, Stony Creek, CT 06405.
