Obituary: Linda A. Opotzner, 66, of Branford

Linda A. Opotzner of Branford died Monday February 13, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Opotzner.

Mrs. Opotzner was born August 8, 1950 in East Haven, daughter of Julia Amodio Russo of East Haven and the late Joseph Russo. She had worked as an x-ray technician at the Hospital of St. Raphael for over 40 years, until retiring in 2013. Linda enjoyed decorating her house and yard. She also loved being on or near the water, either at the beach or boating. She also enjoyed her time spent in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her son, Justin (Sarah Morehouse) Opotzner of Ballston Lake, NY and her sister Joanne (Dave) Preneta of Branford.

Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford Saturday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 11:00. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 9:30 – 10:30 am.
