Obituary: ​Lucy J. DeGray Collins, 59, of Branford

Lucy J. DeGray Collins of Branford, died unexpectedly Friday May 19, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of Marc J. Collins. Lucy was born June 25, 1957 in New Haven, a daughter of the late George R. and Phyllis M. Talmadge DeGray. She was a Safety Coordinator for First Student. Previously she was a bus driver for School Transportation Services and Ward Bus Company.

Besides her husband, Lucy is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Erny) Rasmus of Branford, Lillian (Josh) Carney and Cassandra (Robert) Larson both of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister Doris Rock of Branford; and her four grandchildren, Alexander J. and Francis S. Rasmus, Shayla A. Carney and Gabriella M. Larson.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, with a funeral service at 7:00 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
