Obituary: Lydia Antognette, 96, of Branford
Lydia, who retired from Seymour Specialty Wire Company, was a talented cook who "nourished and comforted" loved ones well into her 90s.
Lydia Antognette of Branford died Sunday January 31, 2021 at her home. She was the wife of the late Leo Antognette. They lived in Ansonia where they enjoyed welcoming friends and family to their warm home. Lydia was born December 13, 1924 in New Haven, daughter of the late Giacomo and Norina Zandri Branchini.
She worked as a payroll processing clerk for Seymour Specialty Wire Company for many years until retiring.

Lydia is survived by her sister Mary Branchini Geary (Russell) of Madison and many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss their Aunt Lil. She was predeceased by her sisters Iola Valentini Tartaglione (Ralph), Alice Branchini and her beloved niece Patricia Tartaglione Grande.
She was a talented cook. Lydia nourished and comforted those she loved with her delicious food well into her 90’s.
