Obituary: Maria Lespier, 97, of Branford

Maria Lespier of Branford, died Friday October 6, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of the late Carlos Lespier. Mrs. Lespier was born February 12, 1921 in Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Francisco and Concepcion Bermudez Rodriguez.

She was an artist; she enjoyed hand coloring black and white photos. She was an excellent cook and a master decorator. She is survived by her children, Carmen Rampolla (Barry Wulkan) of Boynton Beach, FL, Esther (Leslie) Thomas of Fruitland Park, FL, Charlotte Lespier (Larry Hebel) of Rio Rancho, NM, Frances (Sam) Berryhill of New York, NY, Sonia Lespier of Raleigh, NC and Helen Lespier (Jeff Kaufman) of Branford; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Wednesday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese Church, Branford, at 10:00.
