Obituary: ​Marie Antoinette Cioffi, 92, of Branford

Marie Antoinette Cioffi of Branford, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Cioffi. Marie was born August 3, 1925 in New London, CT, daughter of the late James B. and Priscilla Viti Francisco.

She grew up in Seymour and worked as a bank teller for the Seymour Bank & Trust Co. She also ran her family’s trailer park in Branford for many years until retiring. Marie is survived by her sons, David (Nancy) Cioffi of Branford and Gregory (Ann Marie) Cioffi of Short Hills, NJ; her grandchildren, Kenneth & James Cioffi and Kathleen & Michael Cioffi; and loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Carol (Carl) Rossetti and her longtime companion Thomas Antollino.

Marie enjoyed music, dancing, travel and playing board games. Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Thursday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
