Obituary: Mario DeNardi, 92, of Stony Creek
Mario was a past captain and was the first EMT of Stony Creek Fire Rescue Company 5, BFD, where he was a member for over 65 years.

Mario DeNardi, 92, of Stony Creek, died Friday at his home. He was the beloved husband of Angela Lanetti DeNardi.
Mr. DeNardi was born March 13, 1923 in Stony Creek, son of the late Victor and Augusta Frare DeNardi. He retired from U. S. Repeating Arms (Winchester) as a machinist after 35 years. He was known for "Mario' Garden's" at Flying Point Road for 79 years, the past 37 years as gardener and special friend of Francine Sears.

Mario was a past captain and was the first EMT of Stony Creek Fire Rescue Company 5, BFD, where he was a member for over 65 years. He was a communicant and former Deacon at St. Therese Church.
Besides his wife, Mario is survived by his daughters, Marie (Scott) Gordon of Guilford, and Jean (Tony) Ventura of Branford; his grandchildren, Erica (Shane) Walden, Erin (Dave) Goodrich and Robert Luce; and his great-granddaughter, Leah Walden. He was predeceased by his brothers, Benjamin and Vito DeNardi and his sister Rose DeNardi Fallgren

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning at 11:30 in St. Therese Church, Branford. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery, Guilford. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS.
