Obituary: Marion Gaetano Faticone, 87, of Branford

Marion Gaetano Faticone of Branford, died Thursday December 1, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of William E. Faticone, Jr.

Marion was born in New Haven November 3, 1929, daughter of the late James and Carmela Pezzullo Gaetano. She worked for many years at Echlin's in Branford until retiring. Marion loved being a mother and grandmother to her large family, and especially loved her family holiday gatherings. She also enjoyed her trips to the casino with her nieces.

Besides her husband, Marion is survived by her children, Bill Faticone III, and his wife Cynthia of Branford, Kari Freund and her husband Paul of Branford, and Mark Faticone and his wife Valerie of East Haven; her son-in-law, Gary Vogel of Branford; her grandchildren, Leslie DeLuca (Paul), Lindsay DeGrasse (David), Lauren, Michael and Ryan Vogel, Ashley Mauro (Nick) and Lea Faticone; and her great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Giuliana DeLuca and Zachary DeGrasse. Marion was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Vogel; her sister, Rose Riccio and her brothers, Michael, Harry, Lawrence, Joseph, James and John Gaetano.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her niece Sue and husband Adrian for the loving care and great concern shown to Marion during her final illness. Sue was a very special person in our mother's life and in ours too.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning at 10:00 in St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. THERE ARE NO CALLING HOURS.
