Obituary: Martin "Marty" Conroy, 55, of Branford
Marty was a self-taught master craftsman of stained glass at Branford Art Glass Studio which was located at Bittersweet Farm.

Martin "Marty" Conroy, 55, of Branford passed away March 28, 2016 in the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital after a courageous battle.
Beloved son of Elizabeth "Betty" Capone Conroy of East Haven and the late George Conroy. Loving brother of George Conroy of East Haven.
He also leaves many friends especially his best friend Big Tony. Marty had many accomplishments in his lifetime, he was a graduate of the Bulova School of Watch making in New York and for many years was a diamond and gemstone setter.

Marty was a self-taught master craftsman of stained glass at Branford Art Glass Studio which was located at Bittersweet Farm. He was also a former member of the B. A. W. B. and James Gang Motorcycle Clubs. He was a member of the NRA and a proud supporter of the second amendment. He was a long time active member of the Single Shot Rifle Matches and devoted member of the American Single Shot Rifle Association (ASSRA).
He was an officer of the local chapter of New Haven Schutzen Society and very active throughout the New England and New York State area and considered to be one of the best marksmen in the country, winning many awards.
