Obituary: Mary Jane Bjorklund, 90, of Branford

Mary Jane Bjorklund of Branford died Monday August 23, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of the late Edward Bjorklund. Mary Jane was born December 16, 1930 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Abraham and Mary Pragit Mendelsohn.

She worked in food service at Waterbury Hospital prior to retirement. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Branford and of Vasa Order of America.

Mary Jane is survived by her children, Linda and David Carlson of Branford; her stepchildren, Ann (Mark) Lubeski of Branford, Robert (Laura) Bjorklund of Rockwall, TX and Joan (Frank) Santacroce of Northford; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a stepson Edward Bjorklund and by her brother Randall (Dorothy) Mendelsohn.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of her family.
