Obituary: Mary M. Hyder, 95, of Branford

Mary M. Hyder, 95, wife of the late Richard G. Hyder, Sr., died Sunday March 7, 2021 at her home in Branford.

Mary was born May 13, 1925 in New Haven, the daughter of the late Angelo and Regina (Polverari) Morsino.

Mary worked in Banking for many years in California and later for the Branford Trust Company, where she was senior bookkeeper. After that she worked as office manager to Dr. Harold Gaynor and when his practice was sold to Dr. James Mendillo for many years, retiring when she was 82.

Mary is survived by her son Richard Hyder, Jr. of Branford and her brother Robert Morsino of Branford, her grandchildren, Kevin and Kristin and her great-granddaughter, Madison, as well as nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl A. Hyder.Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Friday morning at 9:30, for a funeral service at Trinity Episcopal Church, on the green in Branford, at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
