Later in life she worked at Harstans Jewelry in Guilford where she enjoyed interacting with customers and fellow coworkers. Mary Ann cherished spending time with all of her family and friends, but treasured those moments with her children, grandchildren and sister. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren as she was a devoted grandmother.
Whether it be attending ballet performances, going to school functions, or just playing board games and chatting around the kitchen table, she was always engaged. Mary Ann, an avid knitter, loved to make beautiful keepsake blankets as gifts. She was a wonderful cook, she especially loved cooking Italian meals for her family and keeping the traditions of making these special Italian dishes.
