Obituary: Matthew Glenn Goodrich, 31, Formerly of Branford

Matthew Glenn Goodrich of Hartford, formerly of Branford and East Haven, died suddenly on Saturday March 11, 2017 in East Hartford. Matt was born in New Haven, June 20, 1984, son of Donna Collins of Branford, and the late Glenn R. Goodrich.

He was a graduate of East Haven High School in 2002. Matt worked as a carpenter for Reno Storage Company. He was a kind and generous soul, who loved the outdoors. Besides his mother, he leaves his sisters, Kristina (Jared) Eichensehr of Branford, and Lisa Marie Giano of Hartford, and his brother, Michael Giano of Branford; his nephews Tyler, Jace and Coby, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Marion Beedle, his uncle Anthony M. Beedle and his cousin Dale Beedle.

Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Matthew Goodrich Memorial Fund, c/o the funeral home.
