Michael Tango, 60, of Branford, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, with his family by his side. He was the fiancé of Carmelina Melotto. Michael was born in New Haven on May 31, 1958 and was the son of Margaret Laterzia Tango and the late John Tango, Sr.

He had worked as a warehouse driver for various companies and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Brother of Rosemarie and Robert Tango, Dina Dunn (Miles) and the late John Tango, Jr. Brother-in-law of Pat Tango. Uncle of Casey Tango. Cousin of Rosemary Natale (Michael).

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church, East Haven at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Closer to Free fund, which jointly supports Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven and Yale Cancer Center.
