Obituary: Nancy Robinson Collins, of Branford

A sixth generation parishioner of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Branford, dedicated 20 years with the altar guild.

On Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 78, Nancy Robinson Collins passed away peacefully at her home in Stony Creek with her family by her side. Born May 20, 1940, a lifelong resident of Branford, beloved wife of the late Warren “Bo” Collins, and daughter of the late Edwin and Edwina Robinson of Branford.Nancy leaves four children, Warren (Kristen) Collins of Branford, Gail (Jim) Carey of Madison, Bethany (Robert) Irwin of State College, PA, and Darren (Dena) Collins of Stony Creek, as well as eight grandchildren, Lauryn and Kathryn Collins, Maggie and Connor Ball, Patrick and Kyla Irwin, Austin and Brandon Collins, and 4 additional step grandchildren in Pennsylvania, Kate (Bill) Weaver, Kristin, Rob and Chris Irwin, along with her brothers Richard (Rosalie) Robinson of Guilford, Paul (Donna) Robinson, of Branford, and sister Betsey and Bill Bray of Branford.

Nancy devoted her life to her husband, had unconditional love to her children and family, and unwavering constant devotion to her grandchildren.

A sixth generation parishioner of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Branford, dedicated 20 years with the altar guild, and her contribution of her peach shortcake for the church fair was a sell out year after year.Nancy’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 6th from 3-6 pm at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St. Branford . You are invited to celebrate the life of Nancy Collins by attending her services Monday, January 7th at 11:00 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 1109 Main St. Branford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Trinity Episcopal Church, 1109 Main St. Branford CT 06405. The Collins family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Smilow Cancer Hospital, her homecare nurses from the VNA, and the Guilford Hospice nursing staff for the dedicated care they provided during this difficult time.
