Obituary: Nicholas S. Torello Sr., 83, of Branford
He owned Torello Tire in East Haven, was a Pine Orchard Country Club member, and he enjoyed time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Nicholas S. Torello Sr. 83, of Branford beloved husband of Alberta “Bert” Palumbo Torello passed away on December 6, 2021 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving father of Nicholas S. (Sherry) Torello Jr of Branford and the late Phyllis Torello and Ralph A. Torello. Grandfather of Augustine, Tiffany, Joshua, Christopher and Lauren Torello. Brother of Katherine (Jean-Marc) Benoist of Dallas, TX and Anthony (Roz) Torello of East Haven. Nick was born in New Haven on January 18, 1938 son of the late Ralph and Fannie Pappacoda Torello.
Prior to his retirement in 2016 Nick was the owner of Torello Tire of East Haven. Nick enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He also was a member of the Pine Orchard Country Club of Branford.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. John Bosco Parish in St. Mary's Church (Branford) Monday morning to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Family and friends may call SUNDAY at the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven from 4pm to 7pm.
