BORN: September 4, 1962 in Jacksonville, NC Died on August 8, 2018 after a fierce battle with cancer.

Beloved husband of Lisa Munson Thomas of Branford, CT, cherished father of Stephanie Rae Thompson and W. Nicholas Thomas, both of East Haven. Survived by his cherished mother, Frances Lindsey, of Jacksonville, NC, a brother and sister-in-law Tom and Deby Cochran of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and sisters Debra Kriesman and DonnaDiane Menke, both of Jacksonville, NC.

Also survived by his best pal and brother-in-law, Christopher N. Munson, sister-in-law Luanne Munson, nephews Christopher N. (Anjel) Munson, Eric Cochran, Jeffrey Rice, and nieces Julianne H. Munson and Christine Coplin.Predeceased by his beloved father-in-law, Nils L. Munson, of Branford, CT and his father, William N. Thomas of Hundred, WV.Nick was a pipefitter proudly employed for 25 years by Crest Mechanical Services of Hartford, CT whose generosity, support and belief in him meant the world to Nick.

He was most passionate about his family, his job, and his team, the Miami Dolphins, not necessarily in that order, depending on the time of year. He loved to laugh, especially at his own jokes, and kept his friends and family in stitches with his hilarious stories and his southern turn of a phrase.

The consummate host, a stand-up guy, fiercely loyal to his friends and family, Nick will be so sadly missed by many. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at the W.S.
