Gregarious and generous, he worked in advertising/marketing, and loved gardening, and antiquing and travels to Key West with wife Carol.

Paul J. Charbonneau of Branford passed away Wednesday May 4, 2022 at the Arden House in Hamden after a lengthy battle with Aphasia/Alzheimer’s. He was the beloved husband of Carol Jean Rossomando Charbonneau.

Paul was born October 17, 1948 in New Haven. He was the son of the late Joseph and Marjorie Charbonneau.

Paul worked in advertising and marketing for Mascola and Associates, and two marketing firms in NYC, before retiring. Paul was a very gregarious and generous man to so many. His love of antiques and he and his wife Carol’s travels yearly to Key West, were his passions, along with gardening in which he took great pride.

His greatest love, however, was being a husband, father and grandfather to his family; including his children, Christine Charbonneau of New Haven, Michael (Tanya) Charbonneau of Sacramento, CA, Lisa Charbonneau (John Cuddy) of Madison and Kathleen Charbonneau (Derrick Gripenstroh) of Branford, his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Gerry Charbonneau.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 6:30 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, with visitation prior to the service from 5:00 - 6:30 PM.
