Obituary: Phyllis D. Ulrich DeFrances, 93, of Branford
Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker in her Branford home for more than 60 years.
Phyllis D. Ulrich DeFrances died Saturday February 5, 2022 at her home in Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Leroy A. DeFrances.
Phyllis was born in New Haven June 24, 1928, a daughter of the late Philip and Mary Kelch Ulrich. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker in her Branford home for over 60 years.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Judith (Roger) Wilson of Bolton, CT, Beth DeFrances and Paul DeFrances both of Branford, her grandchildren, Nikola, Paige, Emily, Stephanie, Julia and Bradley; her six great-grandchildren, all of whom were her “heart” and her “pumpkins.” She is also survived by her sister Mary Pine of East Haven.
Phyllis was predeceased by her son Lee DeFrances, her daughter Cynthia Costigan, her sister Marilyn Prior and her brothers, Philip, John and Raymond Ulrich.

Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Thursday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Visiting hours prior to Mass from 9:00 – 10:30 at the funeral home.
