Obituary: Rachael M. Kennedy, 29

Rachael was known by all for being a bright light that lit up any room she walked in with her contagious smile.

Rachael M Kennedy of Norwalk, formerly of Branford died unexpectedly Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 at her home. Rachael was born September 22nd 1987, daughter of Gina Carafeno of Branford and Edward Kennedy of West Haven.

She was predeceased by her beloved grandmother Marie Pastore Carrano. Besides her parents, Rachael is survived by her fiancé Jim Griffin of Norwalk, her sisters Kathryn (Hans Esposito) of East Haven, Andie Kennedy (Hector) of New Haven, Shea Kennedy of Branford, her brother Jack Kennedy of Branford, and her beloved grandfather Ralph Carrano of Branford.

She is also survived by her niece Giada Rose Esposito, whom was the light of her life, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Rachael was known by all for being a bright light that lit up any room she walked in with her contagious smile. She was very intelligent and quick witted. You were most likely to find her with a book or her bible in hand, as reading was her favorite hobby, along with listening to music, drawing, and passion for fashion. She touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by so many.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Silver Hill Hospital Scholarship Fund, 208 Valley Road, New Canaan, CT 06840.
