Obituary: Ronald J. Mattson, 83, of Stony Creek

Ronald J. Mattson of Stony Creek died Friday December 9, 2016 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of the late Carol Lepone Mattson. Mr. Mattson was born November 1, 1933 in Stony Creek, son of the late Martin and Jenny McLaren Mattson.

He was a lifelong resident of Stony Creek, an avid outdoorsman enjoying skiing, fishing, hunting gardening and was the owner of Ronald Mattson Plumbing and Heating for many years. He is survived by his children, Linda (James) Prota of Stony Creek and Ronald (Dana) Mattson of North Branford; his grandchildren, Jonathan Carafeno, James R. Prota, Daniel C. Prota, Lydia Mattson and Suzanne C. Prota; his sister, Muriel Suzanne Pandolfi, and his brother William M. Mattson, both of Stony Creek.

His family would like to thank the caregivers at The CT Hospice, Yale (YNHH-7-5) and Dr. J. Zumpano for their wonderful care.
