Obituary: Rosalind T. Fulvi (Mikolike), 79, formerly of Branford

An exceptional cook and baker, and as a woman entrepreneur, owned an Ivy St. pizza & sandwich shop and a Stony Creek general store & deli.

Rosalind T. Fulvi (Mikolike) of Bristol, formerly of Branford, died Sunday November 6, 2022 at her home with her family. She was the beloved wife of John E. Fulvi. Rosalind was born November 21, 1942 in New Haven, daughter of the late Leon and Mary Mikolike.

Ahead of her time, she was a female entrepreneur owning a pizza and sandwich shop on Ivy Street in Branford and then a general store and deli in Stony Creek. She was locally recognized for her exceptional cooking and baking skills.

Rosalind’s family was always first and foremost in her life. Besides John, she is survived by her children, John Fulvi II (Amity) of Plainville, Christine Bicknell (Aaron) of Southington and Alicia Fulvi-Ferraro (David Jr.) of Bristol; her beloved grandchildren, Jayden and Nino Bicknell and Jenna Fulvi. She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Tramontano, Bobby Belevich and Frank Mikolike.

Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford Friday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Therese Church, 105 Leetes Island Road, Branford at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Visiting hour prior to the funeral from 9:30 – 10:30 at the funeral home.

To honor Rosalind’s struggle with dementia, the family requests donations in her name be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers at www.alz.org/ct.
