Obituary: Susan Allen, 62, of Branford
A lifetime Owenego Beach and Tennis Club member, she was very active with St. John Bosco Parish where she volunteered a lot of her time.
Susan Allen of Branford died on Thursday November 25 at the Hospital of St. Raphael after a long illness. She was the sister of David Allen (Nancy) of Higganum and Craig Allen (Karen) of North Haven. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Thomas (Jessica), Andrew (Stephanie), Craig (Alyssa), Jeffrey (Katie), Aubry, and Norie, her great grandniece Josephine and her great grandnephew Grayson. Susan was born in New Haven on August 3, 1959, a daughter of George and Elizabeth Malley Allen.
She worked for the U.I. Company for 43 years, retiring as the Vice President of Finance. She was a life time member of the Owenego Beach and Tennis Club in Branford where she had a lot of fun times with family and friends. She was very active with St. John Bosco Parish in Branford where she volunteered a lot of her time. She was also a member of the Knights of St. Patrick. Susan was loved by everyone who knew her; she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary Church of St. John Bosco Parish in Branford with burial at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven.
