Obituary: William J. MacArthur, of Branford
He was a former member of the Board of Trustees at the Church of Christ Congregational in Stony Creek.

William J. MacArthur, a long time Branford resident died on Saturday January 26 at Aaron Manor in Chester. He was the husband of the late Carol McCarthy MacArthur. He was the father of Kathleen MacArthur of Branford.
He is also survived by his dear friends, the Fargeorge, Alling, and Franco families. William was born in New Haven on December 10, 1923, a son of the late John and Harriet Bridges MacArthur.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, where he was a Gunner’s Mate First Class, serving in the South Pacific. He worked as a Communications Manager for SNET for many years. He was also a Real Estate Broker with Robbins Realty and Owens Realty of Branford. He was a former member of the Board of Trustees at the Church of Christ Congregational in Stony Creek.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 at the Church of Christ Congregational in Stony Creek. Burial of his urn will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
