Officer Spots 'Suspicious Vehicle,' 4 Juveniles Charged: Branford PD
Police said they found a loaded firearm with a high capacity magazine, a large amount of narcotics, and material indicative of drug sales.
BRANFORD, CT — Police said an officer observed a suspicious vehicle, which led to the arrest of four juveniles.
At 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Branford Police Officer Harrington saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Motel 6, police said. Upon further investigation, it was determined the vehicle was stolen out of Clinton, police said.
Branford Officers made contact with individuals in a room associated with this vehicle and located a loaded firearm with a high capacity magazine, a large amount of narcotics, and material indicative of drug sales, police said.

Four juveniles were taken into custody and each charged with conspiracy to commit the following: Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Illegal Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine, Possession with Intent to sell, and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle. One of the juveniles had a previous firearms charge and all have lengthy criminal histories, police said.
"All four juveniles were transported to Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center. Great job by Branford Officers and Detectives!" police said in a news release.
