Open Days Program Garden Tour - Stony Creek

Private garden tour in Stony Creek to benefit the Garden Conservancy.

Explore the private garden of Frederick Bland, Chairman of the Board at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, open for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. This is an intensively cultivated one-acre village weekend garden created by an architect/plant collector. The garden has more than 1,400 species of plants (mostly perennials, shrubs, and small trees) arranged in many gardens: a long double border, three woodland gardens, a pool garden hidden by a rollicking serpent tapestry hedge, many other hedges and rock walls (all quarried on site), a main cottage and guest cottage with several other outbuildings all purpose-designed to be subservient to the dominant garden.
