Over 1,500 Take Part in Inaugural Faxon Law Madison Half Marathon & 5k!
The Faxon Law Madison Half Marathon & 5k, hosted by the Rotary Club of Madison, attracted a crowd of nearly 1,500 finishers on Halloween
Madison, CT: The inaugural Faxon Law Madison Half Marathon & 5k, hosted by the Rotary Club of Madison, attracted a crowd of nearly 1,500 finishers on Halloween. The half marathon sold out nearly two weeks prior to the event. The half marathon course travelled through the campgrounds and trails of Hammonasset Beach State Park and through seaside neighborhoods of Madison, CT. From the scenic course to the post-race party, the event received a positive response from participants and also attracted runners from across the nation.
Donahue’s Madison Beach Grille, Clam Castle and Robert’s Food Center concluded the event with generous donations of clam chowder, pasta salad, fruit, energy bars, bagels, yogurt and more to refuel runners.
The Faxon Law Madison Half Marathon & 5k raised thousands of dollars for the Rotary Club of Madison. The funds will help the Rotary develop community service projects that address needs in the local & international communities. The event acted as one of the organizations largest fundraisers.
