Parks, Hiking Trails Open, Playgrounds, Fields, Courts Closed
Enjoy the weather in Branford parks and trails, but playgrounds, playing fields and courts are closed as close contact cannot be avoided.

BRANFORD, CT — Town officials said that with the wonderful spring weather slated for the weekend, it's expected many people will be outside taking advantage of the community’s many recreational parks and areas. But, officials said, while all parks and natural areas and trails remain open at this time for walking, hiking, biking, running, all which involve activities which do not involve close contact and where six feet of social distancing can be achieved.
So, all Branford playgrounds, outdoor sports courts, basketball, tennis, and pickle ball courts are closed and should be avoided. Unfortunately, these activities cannot be conducted while maintaining a safe distance or avoiding repeatedly touching objects touched by others.
