BRANFORD, CT — The 2023 municipal election is heating up in Branford and there are plenty of local races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

What is your occupation?

IT Technician

Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.

Wife Fiona works for a non-profit and son Matthew is a second year college dual major computer science student.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

No

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

No

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

To make Branford a model community, a safe and secure town, and work towards advancing the lives of every person and business.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it.

High property taxes on house and vehicles. I plan to lobby for this issue and bring a motion to the RTM to make it a priority

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

My character and life experiences is my most valuable asset. I grew up in the Catholic Church in a community with six ethnic races and the three main dominant religions. Being the eldest son whose dad served in the Army for 20 years, the discipline, and responsibilities took on at home early in life made me stronger.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Climate change and community development.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have owned and managed two successful businesses from ground up and have represented my former country internationally, promoting the tourism and hospitality industries.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

You only fail when you give up.
