BRANFORD, CT —The 2023 municipal election is heating up in Branford and there are plenty of local races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

Married to my husband Bob. Two adult children, one in New York City and one in Sydney, Australia

No

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I enjoy helping people. I think the RTM would be a great way of helping my neighbors in the 7th district and of contributing to the Branford community.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The most serious issue is traffic-calming. Our neighborhood has many walkers, joggers, bike riders and dog walkers and the speed of traffic has accelerated dramatically in recent years.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I think we all want what is best for our community. We just have different ways of going about it.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

This is not applicable.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

The need to improve communication between the town, its departments and the community.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have chaired a commission, I have served on the Board of BCTV, and I have raised two children who played multiple sports with only one broken bone.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
