Police Arrest 2 After Resident Reports Car Break-In

Bailey Gattert, 19, of Milford, was arrested. Police said he had an outstanding violation of probation warrant with a $200,000 court bond.

BRANFORD, CT — Thursday night just before midnight, an "alert resident" on Hoadley Road called police after seeing two "suspicious people checking for unlocked vehicles," Branford Police posted on Facebook.

Police responded and "detained the two individuals who were in the process of entering a vehicle they had previously stolen from the city of New Haven and were using to commit their crimes."

Bailey Gattert, 19, of Milford, was arrested. Police said the man had an outstanding Violation of Probation warrant with a $200,000 court set bond. Police said the other person was a "repeat juvenile offender from New Haven."
