Popular Farmers' Market Extended In Branford

The market, run by Medlyn Farms, was supposed to end at the end of the summer.

BRANFORD, CT – The Board of Selectmen has approved extending a local farmers’ market on the Town Green through the end of September.

The market, run by Medlyn Farms, was supposed to end at the end of the summer.

But First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove said Jay Medlyn asked if he could keep the market running, from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday nights through the end of September.

The board approved the request unanimously.

Cosgrove said the farmers’ market has “been appreciated by many residents” because it supports the efforts of local farming.
