BRANFORD, CT — For many, life was interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. But for many more, it changed their lives in significant ways, largely financial and involving everyday life, pre-pandemic.

"For more than two years, town residents have struggled with basic needs such as employment, food, utilities, transportation, and shelter or housing," the town noted in a news release announcing its Community-Wide Basic Needs Assessment Questionnaire.

With the assistance of the Branford Counseling & Community Services and
the East Shore District Health Department, a Community Needs Assessment Survey was
developed to help the town understand the needs of the community concerning basic services as
a result, and in the aftermath, of the pandemic.
