Prostitution Arrest Made At Branford-Based Massage Parlor: State Police

State Police said they have been investigating alleged illegal prostitution activity in local massage parlors. BREAKING

BRANFORD, CT — State Police say they have made an arrest at a Branford-based massage parlor after launching a prostitution investigation.

During the months of May and June of 2017, the Statewide Organized Crime Task Force (SOCITF) developed information of illegal prostitution activity that was occurring at massage parlors located in the town of Branford, State Police said.

On June 22, 2017, Detectives from SOCITF, Statewide Narcotics Task Force-Southwest, and CT-DMV served search warrants on two separate massage parlors, State Police said. Chunhua Wang, 49, of Flushing, NY was arrested at Branford Massage located at 101 West Main St. for third-degree promoting prostitution, State Police said.

Wang was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and was given a scheduled court date of July 13 in Superior Court, New Haven.

State Police are still investigating.
