Public Hearing Planned On Proposed Project At Branford Cinemas: Report
The vacant movie theater and the property could be turned into a multi-use development, according to Hearst Connecticut Media Group.

BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed project that could transform the vacant Regal Cinemas property on East Main Street into a multi-use development.
The hearing is slated for March 21 at 7 p.m.
According to Hearst Connecticut Media Group, the proposal would turn the movie theater complex into a self-storage facility, with a four-story apartment building, medical office and coffee shop on the 13.75-acre property at 325 E. Main St.

The apartment building would feature 116 units with 20 percent designated as affordable housing, Hearst CT reported.
Additionally, a commercial building would contain a coffee shop/restaurant within 2,313 square feet, and a 3,000-square-foot medical office.
