Community House Grand Opening Is Postponed

The Joe Trapasso Community House honors World War II veterans and is named for the town's first recreation director and pioneer.

BRANFORD, CT — Update: this event is postponed.

The ribbon will be cut March 12 at the grand opening of the Joe Trapasso Community House.

Director of the Branford Parks and Recreation Department Alex Palluzzi Jr. and Dagmar Ridgway director of the Canoe Brook Senior Center announced the event open to all from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. next Thursday.

The newly renovated community center located at 46 Church St. will be opened for tours given by both the Parks and Recreation and the Canoe Brook Senior Center staffs and light refreshments at the event. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m.
