BRANFORD, CT —The headline captures it. "Branford: Where Life Revolves Around the Water."

The New York Times published a story Wednesday in its real estate section that tells the stories of new homeowners, former Manhattanites, who ditched the city for the land of "coves, inlets and tiny islands."

Traveling from Short Beach to Pine Orchard to Linden Shores to Stony Creek and the Thimble archipelago, the piece then shares "what you'll pay," for prospective buyers, the town's "vibe," information about schools, the commute to NYC, and town history. There are a bunch of shout-outs in the piece including Legacy Theatre in Stony Creek, Bud's Fish Market in Indian Neck, Yale Corinthian Yacht Club in Short Beach and Donovan's Reef, among others.
